    Horseradish Mashed Potatoes

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 lb. russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
    • 6 whole cloves of garlic, peeled
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1/4 cup butter, cut up
    • Crushed red pepper flakes
    • 2-3 tbl preparedhorseradish
    • 2 tbl chopped fresh chives
    • 1/2-1 cupmilk


    Instructions


    1. In lrg saucepan cook potatoes,garlic and onion in lightly salted boilingwater, covered, 20-25 minutes or until tender,drain.
    2. Return potatoes and garlic to same dry, warm saucepan and heat slightly to removeexcess moisture. Mash potatoes. Add butter, horseradish and chives. Gradually beat enough milk to make light and fluffy. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired.
