A great summer dessert if you need something good and fast.
List of Ingredients
- 1 Pre-Baked Pie Crust
- 1 Pint Ripe Strawberries
- 1 Package of Strawberry Jello (3 oz. size)
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- 1 Cup Cold Water
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- Whipped Cream
Instructions
- Slice Strawberries into baked and cool pie crust
- In a medium saucepan mix the jello and the cornstarch. Add the water and sugar. Cook on medium heat until boiling
- Pour boiling liquid over strawberries
- Place pie in refrigerator and chill for 3-4 hours
- Serve with dollops of whipped cream on top
Final Comments
If you don't have access to ripe strawberries, I have also used frozen, sliced strawberries which makes this recipe even faster.
