    List of Ingredients




    16 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
    ¾ cup chopped onion
    1 (8-ounce) can Hunt's Tomato Sauce
    1 cup chunky salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
    1 tablespoon Splenda Granular
    1 ½ teaspoons JO's Chili Seasoning or any chili seasoning
    1 (7.5-ounce) can Pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
    2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Fat Free Half & Half
    3 tablespoons yellow cornmeal

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat and onion. Add tomato sauce, salsa, Splenda, and Jo's Chili Seasoning. Mix well to combine. Continue cooking for 5 minutes, stirring often. Evenly spoon mixture into prepared baking dish. Separate biscuits and cut each into 3 pieces. Dip biscuit pieces first into half & half, then roll in cornmeal. Place coated biscuit pieces evenly over meat mixture. Drizzle any remaining half & half and cornmeal evenly over top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Place baking dish on a wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Divide into 6 servings.

    Serves 6 – Each serving equals:
    199 Calories, 3 gm Fat, 14 gm Protein, 29 gm Carbohydrate, 847 mg Sodium, 17 mg Calcium, 1 gm Fiber
