    Source of Recipe

    midwestliving.com

1 3-pound boneless beef round rump roast
    1 12-ounce can beer
    1 cup ketchup

    1. Trim any excess fat from roast. Place in a Dutch oven or kettle.
    2. In a bowl, stir together beer and ketchup. Pour over beef.
    3. Cover and bake in a 325 degree F oven for 2-1/2 hours or until tender. Remove meat from Dutch oven. Cool slightly.
    4. Slice meat and return slices to sauce in Dutch oven. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Skim fat from sauce and serve sauce with the meat. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare roast as directed. Slice meat; transfer meat and sauce to a storage container. Cover and chill up to 24 hours. To serve, reheat meat and sauce as directed.
