    Source of Recipe

    Oprah.com

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 1/3 cup of pecans
    • 1/4 cup maple syrup
    • 1/4 cup corn syrup
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/ tsp. cinnamon
    • Pinch of pumpkin pie spice

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Place pecans on cookie sheet or baking pan and lightly toast in oven for about 6 to 7 minutes. Nuts are done when you can smell a nutty, toasted scent.
    3. Mix syrups together. Remove pecans from oven and pour syrup over them. Stir to coat nuts evenly, and return to oven.
    4. Mix sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl.
    5. As nuts continue cooking, the syrup will begin to coat them throughly. Check often, stirring occasionally. Pecans are ready to be removed from the oven when all of the syrup is clinging to them.
    6. Pour the hot pecans into the large bowl of spiced sugar. Toss them well unitl the pecans are throughly sugared. Spread on a cookie sheet in a single layer and allow to "set." Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

    Final Comments

You can substitute the pecans with walnuts, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, and even peanuts.
