    Wild Mushroom-Smothered Steaks

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 tenderloin steaks
    • 5 tsp Creole/Cajun seasoning
    • Extra-virgin olive oil
    • 8 cups sliced assorted fresh mushrooms(oysters,****akes,chanterelles,etc.)
    • Chopped onion
    • Chopped green onion
    • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 6 turns black pepper
    • 8 Tbsp Smart Balance spread


    Instructions


    1. Sprinkle steakw with Creole seasoning.(1 tsp per steak) Heat oil in large skillet over high heat. When oil is hot,add steaks and saute them on first side about 4 min. Turn the steaks and saute second side for 2 min. Add mushrooms,onions,green onions,garlic,salt, pepper,and remaining 1 tsp Creole seasoning and saute for 2 min. Turn steaks back to first side,dot with Smart Balance pats,cover the skillet,and cook for 1 min. Remove from heat. to serve,place 1 steak on each of the plates and cover with mushrooms and their juices.
