    1/2 cup cornmeal,1/2 cup flour,3/4 teas.baking soda,1/2 teas.salt,1/2 cup corn kernels,1 Tbls.grated onion,pepper,1 cup buttermilk,2 lrg.eggs separated,4 Tbls.butter melted,1 1/2 cup sour cream.

    In lrg.bowl,sift meal,flour,soda,salt.Add corn,onion,pepper,stir.In sm.bowl,whisk milk,egg yolks,2 Tbls.butter.In separate bowl,beat egg whites to stiff peaks.Stir buttermilk mixture into dry ingred.till blended.Fold in whites.Heat skillet,oil pan.For each patty,pour scant 1/4 cup batter into skillet,fry till done.Serve with sour cream.
