    Fortune Cookies

    Recipe Introduction

    This will allow you to make up your own in whatever size you want. Plus you can put any fortune in it you want. This will let you prepare for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, business meetings, or for games.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    Bowl
    Mixing spoon
    Small pot
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoons, 1/8 Tsp, 1 Tsp, 1 Tbl
    Non stick frying pan
    Spatula
    Bowl
    Drying rack
    Fortunes


    Ingredients

    1 Egg beaten
    1/2 C Sugar
    1/4 C Melted butter
    1 Tsp Almond extract
    2/3 C Flour
    1/8 Tsp Salt
    1/3 C Milk

    Recipe

    Serves:
    Time required: Prepare: 5 minutes Cook: 30 minutes
    Difficulty: Average


    Directions

    1. Have bowl, fortunes and drying rack ready.

    2. Heat burner to 350 degrees.

    3. Mix in bowl egg, sugar, butter, and almond extract.

    4. In measuring cup with flour, mix in salt. Add to bowl and mix.

    5. Stir in milk.

    6. Heat frying pan. When hot, put 1 Tbl of batter on pan, and spread out to 3" diameter.

    7. Cook till browned, flip over, and brown other side.

    8. Quickly put a fortune in the middle of cookie when done. Then fold cookie in half. Pick up and grab the two corners, and push the ends down over the lip of the bowl. This will form the regular shape of the fortune cookie.

    NOTE: You do not have much time, and these cookies are hot.

    9. Let cool, and place in a plastic ziplock.


    Serve with

    Chinese dinner, birthday party, business meeting, holiday, special occasions, family gatherings, and special games.


    Variations

    *Put one different colored fortune for someone to win a prize.

    *Use food coloring to make different colors.
