ORIGINAL RECIPE
List of Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork or sausage
1 lb dried kidney beans
1 cup dried white beans
1 package MILD chili seasoning
2 large onions, halved and sliced
3-4 stalks celery, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 (1 lb 12 oz) can Bush�s baked beans with onions
1 (12 oz) bottle of chili sauce
2 (11.5 oz) cans of V-8 juice
� cup ketchup
2 cans Ro*Tel MILDER tomatoes with green chilies
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 Tablespoon minced orange peel
Recipe
1. Soak dried beans overnight. Drain.
2. Saut� beef and pork until no longer pink. Drain. Set aside.
3. In a large pot, put in the onions, celery, green & red peppers, garlic. Saut� until tender-crisp.
4. Add the dried beans, baked beans, chili seasoning, chili sauce, V-8, ketchup, tomatoes, coriander and orange peel. Bring to a boil.
5. Turn down to medium low heat, cook several hours.
Serve with sour cream and crackers
Notes: Ground turkey may be used to substitute part or all of the meat.
