    Mark says this is equally good substituting sausage for the bacon!

    List of Ingredients




    8 Slices white bread, crusts trimmed
    8 Slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
    1 (4 oz) Can sliced mushrooms, drained
    2 Green onions, sliced
    1 1/2 Cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
    4 Eggs, beaten
    2 Cups milk

    Recipe



    1. Place 4 bread slices on bottom of greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle bacon, mushrooms, onions and cheese on bread. Cover with remaining 4 bread slices.

    2. Mix eggs and milk; pour over bread. Cover. Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.

    3. Heat oven to 350º F.

    4. Bake uncovered, 1 hour. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish as desired.

    Makes 6 servings.
