    4 egg yolks
    1 cup butter
    2 Tablespoons lemon juice (fresh only, please)
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon Tabasco

    Recipe



    In a small sauce pan heat: 1 cup butter
    until very hot, but not brown.

    Into container of electric blender put:
    egg yolks, lemon juice, salt and Tabasco.

    Cover container and turn motor on low speed.
    Immediately remove cover and pour in the hot
    butter in a steady stream. When all butter
    is added, turn off motor.

    Serve immediately, or set container in a
    saucepan with 2 inches of hot water to keep
    warm. If sauce becomes too thick to pour
    when ready to serve, return container to
    blender and add 1 Tbsp hot water, blend
    briefly.
