Kidney Bean Casserole

List of Ingredients
2 1/2 cups cooking apples, peeled and sliced
3 chopped onions
1/2 lb. raw bacon, diced
3 lbs. red kidney beans
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbs. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Recipe
Combine all ingredients in a casserole or crockpot. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occassionally.
The book says that the recipe comes from the Ursuline nuns that have a convent in the Adirondacks. Just thought I'd share that tidbit of information.
