    Tamale Casserole - part 2

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 c. yellow corn meal
    • 3 c. milk
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 12 oz can whole kernel corn
    • 3 8 oz can tomato sauce
    • 1/2 c. chopped ripe olives
    • 1 bell pepper, chopped
    • 2 1/2 T. chili powder
    • 2 onions, chopped
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1T cooking oil
    • 1/2 lb. grated cheese (sharp cheddar)


    Instructions


    1. Soak Corn meal in milk

    2. Fry onions and peppers lightly in oil. Add meat & brown
    3. Stir in tomato sauce, corn meal, seasonings, corn & olives. Mix well & pour into greased loaf pan or baking dish.
    4. Bake about 60 min. 375°
    5. Stir & top with cheese after pie has baked 35 min.
