    Preheat oven to 350 degrees


    List of Ingredients




    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup cut up gum drops
    ½ cup brown sugar
    2 ½ cup flour
    ½ cup chopped nuts
    1 cup shortening
    1 tsp salt
    2 eggs
    1 tsp soda

    Recipe



    Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Spoon unsifted flour into dry measuring cup. Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well
    Stir in gum drops and nuts. Mix well. Drop by tsp onto greased baking sheet. Dot tops with additional gum drops if desired.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Yield 5-6 dozen cookies.
