Bean Soup

List of Ingredients
- 2 cup navy beans
- 2 qt. warm water
- 2 tsp beau monde seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 T. inst. onion
- 2 bay leaves
- 6/8 peppercorns
- 1/2 cup diced carrot
- 1/2 tsp bouquet garni (not available! I used Italian seasoning)
- 4 T. tomato paste
- 2 qt. milk.
- 1 ham bone with meat
Instructions
- Wash beans. Combine with water and simmer 1 hour.
- Add seasonings, cook until beans are tender. About 2+ hours
- Mash beans, add milk and heat, watch for scorching.
- If using ham bone, add with seasonings. Remove when beans are tender, take meat off bone and add back in with milk.
