    Sour Cream Coffee Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup margarine
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla
    • 2 cups sifted flour
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • Topping:
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (preferably pecans but any nut will be fine)
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • 2 tsp brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Cream together margarine & sugar. Add eggs & mix well.
    2. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients.
    3. Spoon half of the batter into a greased ten inch tube pan or bunt pan. Sprinkle with half of the topping. Repeat.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes.
    5. Let cool almost completely before removing from pan. Sprinkle top with powedered sugar. Serve cold. Best served day after baking. Will keep well or can be frozen.
