Lemon-Basil Glaze

This glaze was put over a pound cake.
List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup half-half
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Dash of salt
Instructions
- Combine half-half and basil in small microwave bowl. Microwave on high for 45 seconds. Let stand 5 minues. Strain mixture through a sieve over a bowl. Discard basil.
- Combine half-half/basil mixture, powdered sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, dash of salt. Stir with a whisk until smooth.
- Drizzle 1/2 of glaze over cake. Let stand over cake or until set. Repeat with remaining glaze.
