    This is both an energy booster and a comfort food. Nuts can be used instead of raisins. Quite tasty.

    List of Ingredients




    11/2 cups whole wheat flour
    3 tbsp. carob powder
    2 tsp. baking powder(aluminum-free)
    1/2 tsp sea salt
    1/2 cup margarine(non-hydrogenated)
    1/3 cup maple syrup
    1 tsp vanilla
    3/4 cup milk(nut or soy)
    1/2 cup raisins

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix flour, carob powder, baking powder and salt. Melt margarine. Mix maple syrup, vanilla, and milk and pour into flour mixture. Mix well. Add the margarine and raisins and stir. Pour into an 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
