    If you have ever wanted to try making a good chocolate cake from scratch, this is the one to make.

    List of Ingredients




    2c sugar
    1 3/4c flour
    3/4c cocoa
    1 1/2t baking powder
    1 1/2t baking soda
    1t salt
    2 eggs
    1c milk
    ½ c vegetable oil
    2t vanilla
    1c boiling water
    Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate chocolate icing (recipe below)

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add egg, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.

    Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into 2 greased and floured cake pans (9"). Bake 30-35 min.

    Cool 10 min. Remove from pans to wire rack. Cool completely. Frost.

    Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Icing

    1 stick butter
    2/3c cocoa
    3c powdered sugar
    1t vanilla

    Melt butter all the way.

    Stir cocoa in until smooth.

    Add milk and powdered sugar, alternately, beating on medium speed to spreading consistency.

    Add more milk if needed. Add vanilla.
