    Caramel Pecan Pie


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound caramels (about 30)
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup margarine
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
    • 1 cup pecan halves ( I use more)
    • unbaked pie shell


    Instructions


    1. Place caramels, water and margarine in a double boiler and heat, stirring until caramels are melted and sauce is smooth.
    2. Combine sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs in a seperate container. Mix thouroughly. Add pecans and caramel sauce; stir well.
    3. Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and finish baking at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.


    Final Comments


    This is very goooood!!! I prefer it over regular pecan pie.
