Recipe Introduction
This was the hit of our New Years staff luncheon on 1/17/03.
List of Ingredients
- 50-60 Kraft caramels (1-1/2 pkg)
- 1 pkg German chocolate cake
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup or more chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
- Mix cake mix with 2/3 cup milk and margarine.
- Press 1/2 of mixture in 9x13 greased pan.
- Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Add caramels and sprinkle on chocolate chips & peanuts.
- Top with remaining batter and spread.
- Return to oven for 20 minutes.
- Cool, cut and store in refrigerator.
