    Recipe Introduction


    This was the hit of our New Years staff luncheon on 1/17/03.


    List of Ingredients


    • 50-60 Kraft caramels (1-1/2 pkg)
    • 1 pkg German chocolate cake
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 12 oz chocolate chips
    • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
    • 1/2 cup or more chopped peanuts


    Instructions


    1. Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    2. Mix cake mix with 2/3 cup milk and margarine.
    3. Press 1/2 of mixture in 9x13 greased pan.
    4. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees.
    5. Add caramels and sprinkle on chocolate chips & peanuts.
    6. Top with remaining batter and spread.
    7. Return to oven for 20 minutes.
    8. Cool, cut and store in refrigerator.
