    Grand-Papa Godbout's Fudge

    Source of Recipe

    My Father

    Recipe Introduction

My dad and I used to make this almost every Sunday afternoon when I was a little girl. Brings back special memories.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups brown sugar
    2 cups white sugar
    2 cups milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe

Put sugars and milk in pan. Bring to a boil and stir constantly so that it doesn't burn. Stir and stir and stir. Don't stop. When a Tbsp. of boiled mixture forms a ball in a glass of cold water, it's ready. Now for the tricky part.
Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and stir, stir, stir until thick. (You can add peanut butter at the same time you add the butter and vanilla.)
Now hurry and pour in a buttered dish and let cool for at least an hour and cut in squares.
