    PEAR AND WALNUT SALAD

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 bunch leaf lettuce
    • 3 pears
    • 4 TBS. lime juice, divided
    • 2 cups seedless red grapes
    • 1/2 cup walnut pieces
    • 1/3 cup honey
    • 1/4 tsp. grated lime zest
    • 1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
    • 1 tsp. finely grated onion
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/8 tsp. ground mace
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil


    Instructions


    1. For the salads, tear lettuce into bite-size pieces. Line 8 individual salad bowls with equal portions of the lettuce.
    2. Cut pears into thin slices. Toss pears with 1 TBS. lime juice in a medium bowl. Cut grapes into halves.
    3. Arrange pears, grapes, and walnuts over lettuce. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
    4. For salad dressing, combine the honey, lime zest, remaining lime juice, poppy seeds, onion, salt and mace in a small bowl.
    5. Gradually add the vegetable oil to the honey mixture, beating continually with electric mixer on high speed. Beat until mixture is thick. Drizzle equal portions of salad dressing over salads. Serve immediately.
