    Sarah's Homemade Beef Stew

    This is a perect way to use up leftover roast and vegetables. My kids absolutley love this stew!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 boneless beef roast, trimmed of all visable fat.
    • 3 medium potatoes cut into medium size chunks.
    • 1 small bag of baby carrots.
    • 1 packet each of brown gravy mix, mushroom gravy, & onion gravy mix.
    • 1 TBS. cornstarch
    • 1TBS. water
    • salt and pepper


    Instructions


    1. In a dutch oven , brown the meat in 1 TBS. of oil until brown. Transfer to a slow cooker.
    2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add vegetables. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is done and vegetables are tender.
    3. With a slotted spoon, remove the vegetables to a serving bowl. Cover to keep warm. Transfer meat to a cutting board. Let set for about 10 minutes before cutting.
    4. Meanwhile add the gravy mix to the dutch oven with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil over med heat.
    5. In a bowl, mix the water and cornstarch. Add to the gravy mixture.
    6. Add the meat and vegetables. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    7. Serve with cornbread or dinner rolls.
