    A favorite recipe, time tested by Louise Rowe

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups sifted flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    4 Tbs shortening
    1 cup thick sour milk

    Recipe



    Mix and sift dry ingredients together thouroghly. Cut in shortening until the texture of cornmeal. Add milk and mix. Knead lightly and quickly on lightly floured board. roll out to 1/2" thickness, cut with floured cutter and bake in hot overn (450) 12-15 minutes or until browned.
    Makes 12-15 biscuits.
