    Recipe Introduction

these appetizers can be made ahead and frozen until time to be eaten.

If frozen, they should be baked 12-15 minutes instead of the 5 minutes the recipe calls for....

    List of Ingredients

1 pound cooked, crumbled pork sausage
    1 -1 1/2cups grated cheddar cheese
1-1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
1 can (2.25 ounce) sliced, ripe olives
    1/2 cup chopped red pepper
1 package fresh or frozen won ton wrappers

    Vegetable oil

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Preparation: Blot sausage dry with paper towels and combine with cheeses, ranch dressing, olives and red pepper. Lightly grease mini or regular muffin tins with vegetable oil and press one won ton wrapper in each cup. Brush with oil. Bake 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from tins and place on baking sheet. Fill with sausage mixture. Bake 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until bubbly. Makes 4 to 5 dozen Sausage Stars.

Hint: You can prepare your won ton wrappers in advance and even freeze them. Then you can prepare the sausage mixture as you need it. Fill the won ton wrappers with sausage mixture as you need them.
