    Many people are familiar with traditional Hispanic favorites they've eaten at a restaurant, but dishes such as savory Arroz Con Pollo (chicken and rice) are fast becoming popular to cook at home because the delicious flavors satisfy the whole family. You no longer have to rely on dining out or spending countless hours in the kitchen to enjoy a delicious, authentic Latin meal with your family.

    It's quick and easy to prepare dishes popular in Central and Latin America, Mexico, Spain and the Latin Caribbean with just a little time in the kitchen, working with ingredients found in your local grocery store. For example, Goya Foods makes high-quality beans, rice, seasonings and sauces for savory and authentic Hispanic dishes. Many supermarkets have a section or even an entire aisle devoted to these products.

    List of Ingredients





    1 31/2 -4 pound chicken, cut in pieces
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic or 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
    1 cup onion, diced
    3/4 cup green pepper, diced
    3 cups water
    1 packet Sazón Goya with Coriander and Annatto
    1 packet powdered chicken bouillon
    1 1/2 cups extra long grain rice or golden parboiled rice, uncooked
    Garnish: 1 fancy pimiento, cut in strips


    Recipe



    1. Shake Adobo on chicken parts. Heat oil on medium heat in pot. Cook chicken until brown on both sides.

    2. Stir in minced garlic, onion and green pepper; cook for 5 minutes until vegetables are tender.

    3. Stir in water, Sazón and bouillon. Raise heat and bring to a boil.

    4. Add the rice and stir. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes or until rice is tender.

    5. Fluff rice and garnish with pimiento strips.

    Serves 4
