    List of Ingredients





    1 cup soy sauce
    1/2 cup bourbon
    1/4 cup water
    1/4 cup canola oil
    1 tablespoon cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
    1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
    1/2 tablespoon capers, crushed with a fork
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
    Pinch ground cloves

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for one hour to reduce liquid by half.

    The baste can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
