Classic Pesto
List of Ingredients
3/4 cup pine nuts
3 cups packed, stemmed fresh basil leaves
1 1/2 cups olive oil
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic

Spread pine nuts on a baking sheet and toast at 450 degrees until golden brown, about 5 minutes. (This step is optional).
Toasting the pine nuts bring out the flavor of the nuts.
Watch carefully so they don't burn..
Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. If the pesto seems too thick, stir in a little warm water. Toss with cooked pasta the moment the pasta has been drained.
