Family Recipe (a.k.a. Uncle Gona Eggs)

    Recipe Introduction

    Fun recipe for kids.

    List of Ingredients

1 or more slices of your favorite bread
1 or more eggs or egg substitute equiv. to one egg
Butter or Margarine (I use low fat)

    Recipe

Spread butter or margarine on both sides of a slice of bread. Place bread on a cutting board and cut out a good sized circle in the middle of the bread.

Place the bread in a non-stick skillet sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray.
Crack open the egg or use egg substitute and put it in the hole in the bread.
Cook to your liking (runny egg or not) turn over at least once to brown the other side of the bread. (kind of like making a grilled cheese sandwich, you want both sides to be done)

**My grandpa always liked his without the yolk completely done so that he could use the bread surrounding the egg to "sop" up the yolk**
