    Fat Free Pasta Salad, this has a zing to it because of the vinager, but is enjoyed at family gatherings.

    List of Ingredients




    3 cups of White Vinegar
    3 cups of water
    3 cups of sugar
    1 small bag sprial pasta (we use multi-colored)
    1/2 bag small pasta shells
    a few big pasta shells
    1 med. Onion (cut into slivers or chopped)
    1 small cucumber (optional) (cut into 1/8 to 1/4 inch slices)

    Recipe



    To cook the pasta: Bring enough additional water to a boil, add the pasta, bring to another boil, remove from heat and cover for 14 minutes; Drain and discard this water.

    Heat some of the water from the 3 cups listed above and dissolve the sugar in it.

    Add the Pasta and then the cold liquids (remaining water and vinegar) to a large container that can be refridgerated, then add the warm liquid that has the sugar dissolved in it. Add the onion and the cucumber. Stir and refridgerate. Do not serve it warm.
