    Ginger Tea

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 inch piece fresh ginger, grated or chopped
    • 4 cups water
    • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
    • juice of 1 lemon


    Instructions


    1. Bring all the ingredients to a boil and simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes.

    2. Strain and drink it hot or leave to cool and keep in the fridge.

    3. Dilute with soda water and use for ginger ale.



    Final Comments


    To get more juice from the lemon, put the whole un-peeled lemon into the tea for about 5 to 10 minutes then remove and squeeze out the juice.
