    Crock-Pot Beef Stew

    This recipe is from the book that came with my Rival Crock-Pot. It is a very good cold weather recipe.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 pounds stew beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1/2 tsp paprika
    • 3 carrots, sliced
    • 3 potatoes, diced
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 stalk celery, sliced
    • 2 tsp Kitchen Bouquet (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Place meat in Crock-Pot.
    2. Mix flour, salt and pepper and pour over meat; stir to coat.
    3. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix.
    4. Cover and cook on Low 8 to 10 hours. (High: 4 to 5 hours).
    5. Stir stew thoroughly before serving.
