    Recipe Introduction

This recipe is from my sisters mother in law in CT. Really good at summer BBQ's or on a cold winter night. Never have leftovers of these to bring home.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 cans pinto or northern beans (1 lb. 12 oz size)
    • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup ketchup
    • 3 large dollops Gulden's Brown mustard (3 large soupspoons full)
    • 1 medium onion- diced fine
    • 1 lb. bacon- cut up into small pieces

    Instructions

    1. Fry bacon until almost done
    2. Add onion
    3. Cook until bacon is done but not crispy
    4. Put this into a 9 x 13 pan and mix in the mustard, ketchup and brown sugar. Mix well.
    5. Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes
    6. Remove foil. Bake an additional 30 minutes or until they reach desired consistancy.
    7. *Variations: Use 1 lb. sausage instead of bacon. Use 1/4 cup BBQ sauce instead of ketchup. Add extra onion and chopped green pepper

    Final Comments

Best baked beans I ever ate. A keeper.
