    Chocolate Cake with Fudge Frosting

    Source of Recipe

    Sunday_Dinner@yahoogroups.com

    4 1/2 Cups Flour
    3 Cups Sugar
    1 1/2 tsp Salt
    1 Cup Hershey's Cocoa
    3 tsp Baking Soda
    3 Tbs Vinegar (any kind)
    1 Cup Oil
    3 Cups Water

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift flour, sugar, salt and cocoa into a mixing bowl. Then the put
baking soda on top of that, then pour the vinegar over the baking
soda, add oil and water, Mix well. Pour into 9 x 13 pan and bake for
40 to 50 minutes, until it tests done. Cool and Frost

    Frosting:

    1 Cup Butter (room temperature)
2/3 Cup Corn Syrup, light or dark
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Vanilla
    2 Cups Hershe's Cocoa
1 1/3 Cups Milk (May need a bit less in humid weather)
    2 Lbs Powdered Sugar

Put butter, corn syrup and salt in mixing bowl and beat well. Add
cocoa and beat well. Mix in milk and powdered sugar alternately till
well beaten. I use a Kitchen Aid mixer and really beat this till it
becomes smooth and glossy. Then stir in vanilla. Spread of cake and
pass out spoons for any left overs (it really tastes like fudge).
