    Crock Flank Steak

    1 flank steat about 1 1/2 lbs, cut in half
    1 Tbs vegetable oil
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/4 cup water
    1 can ( 4 oz) chopeed green chilies
    2 Tbs vinegar
    1 1/4 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp garilic powder
    1/2 tsp sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp pepper

    Brown the steak in oil in a skillet, transfer to crock. In the same
    skillet saute` onion for a few minutes. Add water, stirrin g to loosen
    the browned bits from the pan ( that is the best part), add remaining
    stuff to skillet and bring to a boil. Pour over the flank steak in
    crock. COver and cook on low for about 7 hours. Slice meat thinly and
    serve with juices over top.

    4- 6 servings
