    Cookie Dough

    ½ c. butter or margarine
    ½ c. brown sugar
    ½ c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    ½ t. baking soda
    ½ t. salt

    Filling

    8 oz. Dates, cut up
    ¼ c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    ¼ c. nuts

    Recipe



    For Dough:

    Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add other ingredients and chill.

    For Filling:

    Cook all but the nuts for 5 min., stirring often. Add nuts

    To Assemble:

    Roll dough in rectangle 10” x 16”. Spread with date mixture. Roll up like jellyroll. Wrap in waxed paper and put in freezer until ready to bake.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 for 8-10 min
