BETH'S OLIVE-N'-CHEESE
I don't remember Beth's last name, but she worked in the Clerk's office and made this for a party. It is Dawnie's favorite and I used to make one for her to take home. I don't use quite that much blue cheese - taste it.
List of Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz. blue cheese-crumbled (use less to taste)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2/3 cup well-drained chopped ripe olives (4 1/2 oz. can)
- 1 Tbs. minced chives
- 1/3 cup walnuts or toasted diced almonds
Instructions
- Blend cheeses and blutter.
- Stir inolives and chives.
- Chill slightly for easier shaping.
- Form in ball on serving dish.
- Chill thoroughly.
- Just before serving, sprinkle nuts over ball.
- Serve with assorted crackers.
