    Swiss Almond Cheese Spread

    Source of Recipe

    Fluffy's Kitchen

    Recipe Introduction

I created this recipe to replace a swiss almond cheese spread that we loved but couldn't get anymore. Turned out that we liked this even better! It's also a great "recipe guide" -- you can use this as a guide to make other flavors of cheese spread, too - play around with using your favorite cheese (or combination of cheeses) in place of the Swiss.

    List of Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese (I use the light cream cheese because it's softer and blends very easily)
    1 C sour cream
    2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup finely shredded Asiago (or Parmesan)
    1 tsp red wine vinegar
    1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 T Butter Buds

    1/4 tsp EACH:
    garlic powder
    onion powder
    Lowry's
    celery salt
    ground mustard

    1 C toasted sliced almonds

    Recipe

Bring the cream cheese to room temp. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in the sour cream. Add the remaining ingredients except the almonds, and beat until well combined. Fold the almonds in with a spatula (so you don't break them up too much).

Place into a container and refrigerate.

Makes just shy of a quart.
