    Recipe Introduction

This is, unfortunately, not a recipe of precise measurements. You just sort of get going and taste as you go, until it suits you!

    List of Ingredients

Amounts are approximate - taste as you go and use however much suits your taste...

1 bottle of Open Pit BBQ sauce (about 32 oz I think?)
Frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed, about 1/4 cup
    Terryaki sauce, about 1/4 cup
1 bottle of Coke (NOT diet!), about 1/2 cup (mix the rest with some rum to sip while you're barbecuing)
    Molasses, about 1/4 cup
Balsamic vinegar, just a splash - maybe a tablespoon

    Recipe

Stir all ingredients together in a saucepan, and bring to a simmer. Simmer for half an hour or so, UNcovered, so that it thickens up a little. You want it at a bare simmer, not boiling. Mostly, you're using low heat in order to let the flavors bloom and blend together. Once it's simmered for a little while, give it another taste and add more of any ingredient that you feel it needs.

Let the sauce cool, then pour into a couple squeeze bottles. Holds in the fridge for a couple of months. Wonderful, amazing stuff on grilled chicken or pork, or even as a dip for your kids' chicken nuggets!
