    Recipe Introduction

This is a lovely way to dress up plain tomato soup, and it's good enough to serve to company! Fast and easy, no strange ingredients here; everything is probably already in your pantry. If you have some fresh basil (or other herbs) growing in your garden, that would make a tasty and pretty garnish!

    List of Ingredients

    1 can condensed tomato soup
1 can petite diced tomatoes (about 15 oz)
1 quart of chicken broth (4 cups)
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz)

Fresh herbs to garnish, if desired (basil, oregano, dill, or fresh chives are all nice).

    Recipe

Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until heated through.

Garnish as desired with herbs, and serve with nice crunchy large croutons (Caesar style croutons are nice).

Makes about two quarts of soup (about 8 cups).
