    3 cups diced rhubarb
    1 cup sugar
    3 T butter
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 t. salt
    3 t. baking powder
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup shortening
    1 beated egg
    1/2 cup milk



    Recipe



    Place rhubarb in greased 8x12 baking dish.
    Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar, and dot with rhubarb.
    Heat in moderate 350 oven while making batter.
    Sift remaining dry ingredients and cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add beaten egg mixed with milk.
    Pour batter over hot rhubarb.
    Bake at 350 for 30-35 min.
