Recipe Introduction
Orange juice is one of the most popular juice in the United States. It is a great source of Vitamin C, Folic Acid and potasium. If consumed with a high iron food, orange juice helps the body absorb the iron. However the acids in orange juice can cause an empty stomach to become upset and also cause tooth decay if teeth are not brushed shortly after. Drinking through a straw will also prevent tooth decay. Never put juice in your baby’s bottle!
If you are wanting to buy real orange juice be sure that the label states that is 100% juice with no sugar added. While juice can be healthy too much is not good for you. Limit yourself to 1 cup of juice a day or 1/2 of juice for your children. Eating the whole fruit is much better for your body.
Orange juice is not only used as a drink but can also be used to marinate meat and as an ingredient in recipes.
