Amish Sugar Cream Pie from Kathy
1 cup white sugar
1 /2 cup flour
2 /3 cup brown sugar
1 /2 teaspoon salt
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cream
1 /8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 /2 teaspoon vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell
Recipe
Combine all ingredients and mix well.
Pour into pie shell and bake at 375 degrees F until golden brown.
Test as for custard or pumpkin pie, inserting knife in center and if it comes out clean, it is done. (Test by shaking pie slightly and if the center does not move, it is done.)
