    Bourbon Pecan Baked Apples


    1 cup dark brown sugar
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    pinch salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    pinch cloves
    2/3 cup pecan pieces
    6 Tablespoons bourbon
    2 Tablespoons butter
    12 apples, cored

    Recipe






    Combine sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, clove, and salt; simmer a minute or so. Add pecans, bourbon, vanilla, and butter; heat until butter melts and cool a bit. Fill the apples with nut mixture and brush with glaze. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, brushing with glaze occasionally. Cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

    Serves: 12
