    Cherry Sour Cream Bars

    List of Ingredients




    Crust:
    2 cups of all purpose flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. butter; softened
    Filling:
    l 2l oz can cherry pie filling
    3/4 c. sour cream
    2 tsp. almond extract
    Topping:
    2 cups flaked coconut
    l/2 c. sliced almonds
    2 tablespoons butter; melted

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350. In a large bowl combine all crust ingredients.
    Beat at low speed scraping bowl often until mixture resembles coarse
    crumbs (2 to 3 minutes). Press on the bottom of a l3 x 9 baking
    dish. Bake l5 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Meanwhile in a medium bowl, stir together all filling ingredients.
    Spread over hot partially baked crust.

    In a small bowl stir together all topping ingredients. Sprinkle
    topping evenly over filling. Continue baking for l7 to 20 minutes or
    until light golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars. Keep
    refrigerated.

    (I've also used strawberry, raspberry pie fillings)
