M&M's Orange Coconut Cream Bars

Servings: 12

1 18 1/4 ounce yellow cake mix
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1 cup quick-cooking oats -- uncooked
1/2 cup butter or margarine -- melted
1 large egg
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup m&m's semi-sweet chocolate mini baking bits



Recipe



Preheat oven to 375øF. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, nuts, oats, butter and egg until ingredients are thoroughly moistened and mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Firmly press remaining mixture into bottom of prepared baking pan; bake 10 minutes. Combine condensed milk and orange zest; spread over baked base. Combine reserved crumb mixture; coconut and "M&M's"r Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits; sprinkle evenly over condensed milk mixture and press in lightly. Continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container. MAKES 26 BARS.
