List of Ingredients
2 to 3 apples, sliced (leave peel on)
2 to 3 ripe pears, sliced (leave peel on)
1 cup cranberries (frozen is fine)
1/4 to 1/2 cup liquid honey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3 Tablespoons butter
Fresh nutmeg
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 6-cup deep baking dish. Place apples, pears, and cranberries in the baking dish and drizzle with honey. Squeeze lemon juice over fruit.
Combine all topping ingredients and crumble over the top of the fruit mixture. Grate nutmeg and sprinkle on top of the crumble. Bake for 45 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serve warm.
Serves: approximately 6 to 8.
Summer Idea: Use any combination of peaches, apricots, nectarines, and plums with an accent of blueberries or raspberries and a bit less honey.
Winter Idea: If you have any crumble leftover, try mixing it with Irish oatmeal. Cook the oatmeal, add the crumble, and cook over low heat until the fruit is hot.
