Bacon 'n Apple Muffins
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup finely chopped unpeeled apple
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Cheddar cheese
2/3 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 8 slices)
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into large mixing bowl.
Recipe
Combine butter, milk and egg; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple, cheese and bacon. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 400° F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Turn out on wire rack to cool.
