    Caramel French Toast

    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. butter
    2 T. corn syrup
    12 slices bread
    6 eggs, beaten
    1-1/2 c. milk
    1 t. vanilla extract
    1/4 t. salt

    Recipe



    Combine brown sugar, butter and syrup in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour into a 13"x9" baking pan. Arrange 6 slices bread in pan; top with remaining slices. Blend remaining ingredients; pour evenly over bread. Cover and chill for 8 hours. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden. Serve immediately.

    Makes 6 servings.
